Unite, you have to sustain the world: RSS leader to US Hindus

ON his first visit to the US, senior leader of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangha, Mohan Bhagwat, said that time has come for Hindus around the world to organize themselves.

Bhagwat was delivering the keynote address at a function organized by Hindu Swayamsevak Sangha (HSS) to mark the birth centenary of late RSS leader M.S. Golwalkar.

Addressing the HSS members at the Royal Albert’s Palace, Bhagwat said it is only Hindu thought which believes in unity in diversity.

Hindu values are human values and hence we should unite, not to conquer the world but to sustain it, he said.

Observing that Hindus are cultural ambassadors abroad, Bhagwat said they (non-resident Hindus) should lend helping hand to their brethren in India, who have shouldered a big responsibility of fighting the anti-Hindu forces.

Hindu generations understand the essence of the puja and its importance, said Keshav Dev, HSS general secretary of New Jersey.

A poster exhibition focusing on Hindu contributions to the world was a major attraction.

We say our Hindu ancestors contributed a lot to various areas of science and technology and culture but most of us do not know the specifics. This exhibition provides a glimpse of their contribution in various fields, said Sarang Rastogi, the exhibition organizer.
